Don't have enough space to fit an entire Competition MMA cage? SMAI have developed a modular cage wall panel system that can be used for wall and cage work in a variety of arrangements.
Sold in single panels, which can be joined together in straight runs, the MMA Cage wall Panel consists of 2 uprights with pads, and a cage wall panel that slots into the upright posts.Â
Our cage panels are designed for use in a commercial space. To ensure our panels stand up to the punishment of a training gym, we have developed a reinforced cage mesh. To begin, we weld the mesh to the solid main frame structure - welding the mesh to the frame ensures that it can never become dislodged or become a hazard. An added benefit of welding the mesh is that the process provides additional structure to each panel and stops the mesh from bowing and sagging over time.
This gives you the peace of mind that you can use the cage in a commercial gym without fear of injury or as a safety barrier on a mezzanine level. Cheaper alternatives may use cable ties to secure the mesh to the frame.
The padding on the SMAI MMA cages is crafted with high density foam. This foam has a density of 230kg/cbm which means no matter how hard you hit it, you will be protected without ever hitting the frame. The high-density foam also has zero memory so it will bounce back, ready to take the next impact immediately without delay. All mesh on the cage is 5mm steel that is then double coated in PVC for ultimate safety. The double coating ensures the PVC surface is strong enough to protect you from any sort of abrasion when working against the cage panel. The frame and post pads are manufactured from PVC rip stop vinyl which can be wiped clean with ease and is also 100% non-porous. Featuring a frame that is 100mm steel with a 5mm thickness and 10mm base plate, it has been engineered in Australia and the base plate has allowance for four dyna bolt, coach screw mounting.
